Glenn Beck talked about the Nolan Chart on his TV show a couple weeks ago. There is a series of questions you answer and then you submit your answer. A chart will come up and tell you where you are politically (Libertarian, Conservative, etc.) It also gives you the definitions of the different groups. It is interesting.

If you would like to do this go to: www.nolanchart.com, then on the top there click on the icon that says "Take Our Survey", and you are good to go.

I took the survey and was shocked at where I stood. However, I then went back and changed some of my answers, and I was still shocked. Finally, I read everything very slowly and determined that all the questions are slanted in such a way that just about every Conservative that takes this survey will end up with a new title -
Libertarian. If anyone else takes this survey, please add your thoughts on this board. My opinion? Interesting but certainly not accurate.

That is interesting. Let us hear from you if you take the survey. I too was surprised at where I came in.

I came in at the top of the libertarian sector I don't think it's correct.

Either the survey is "slanted" or we joined the wrong group!!!!!!!!!

It is definitely slanted. You are in the right group Marie. I took this quiz a year ago and 15 questions are missing. When I took the full quiz I got a total different answer.

I took the Nolan Chart quiz back in 1992. It was soon after that I realized that the libertarian position is really the true conservative position. In studying our founding documents, I believe that the libertarian mindset was by far the most prevalent among the framers of our Nation.

Please don't get caught up in the terms "conservative" or "libertarian". Instead, focus on the concepts and the ideas. I think many of you will find that libertarianism IS true conservatism and vice versa. I think that's what people like Glenn Beck Judge Napolitano are starting to understand.
