For many years the Liberal Agenda has called for a Constitutional Convention and tried to use any excuse to open one while hiding their true agenda. They wish to do away with our Bill of Rights and wish to attach their own rights... Like the redistribution of your earnings into their coffers. Once a Constitutional Convention is initiated and agreed to, no one, not even the courts can limit the topics covered or stop the changes made.
In my own meager opinion, I am not impressed with those that hold legislative positions in today's Congress or Senate, none the less the idiocy and manipulators I see in state government. I would compare the Founding Fathers with the education and mental capacity of those with Multiple PHDs in philosophy, psychology, engineering, politics, human behavior, sciences, business, entrepreneurship and agriculture. While I view present elected officials as manipulators, Con-artists with the mental capacity of a used car salesman or dog catchers... at best but with the egos of Superbowl Winning Football fans (not even limited to that of an actual players). They Foolishly believe they know better than anyone else, alive or dead. I would say they are legends in their own minds and are too smart for their own good. Although my opinion is extremely biased, I would like to know your opinions? To go in this direction, I'll submit a few links you may like to review: http://www.eagleforum... So, can anyone explain this? http://www.myfloridah... |

And the legislation these clowns "create" never seems to affect them. Ever. They exempt themselves from the same laws that they say apply to everyone!

Wouldn't one want to get his own house in order before making demands of others?

One of the main reasons why I'm against a Constitutional Convention is that EVERYTHING is at Risk. If you want or there is a need for a single AMENDMENT to the Constitution, it can be submitted on it's own merits without a Convention.
I personally believe that the 14th Amendment has outlived it's original purpose and that was to ensure freed slaves and their children or grand children are made natural born citizens. It's been about 5 or 6 generations ago and now it's time to remove unnecessary Amendment. Of coarse I would like to see the 16th & 17th Amendment removed also and assist in re-establishing our Republic of Free and Independent Individuals. However, I would not risk losing our established Inalienable & Constitutional rights to change it. |

Agreed, ....say "NO" to a Constitutional Convention!!
Given the fact that we have long had a Congress that.... 'spends like drunken sailors', 'grows Orwellian law like idiots-on-steroids', and 'often thinks the Constitution is just toilet paper',.... ....to 'call a Convention' would be 'insanity trying to fix (near-perfect) with stupid'! ~~~~Richard T, 'SOFR' http://SaveOurFreeRep... From Annec: Yes, insanity trying to fix stupid!
Opposed to anything having to do with changing the Constitution, Was James Madison in 1788 and Chief Justice Warren Burger in 1988. |
