GOooh Mock Candidate Selection Process is an educational and engaging event that will inspire the citizens of Tampa Bay with the knowledge that they do have the power to select and elect one of their neighbors that truly represents their views and values.

IF YOU ARE SELECTED AT AN EVENT IN JANUARY, YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY PLACED IN THE SECOND ROUND OF THE CANDIDATE SELECTION PROCESS.  

The GOooh Florida leadership team has developed a Candidate Selection Session Voting Sheet that will be used in all of our Candidate Selection Sessions across Florida and in the first round of the actual candidate selection process that will begin on March 3rd.  The voting sheet is intended to start discussions with the participants of the process.  We developed this tool to spotlight the issues for which Floridians have shown concern.  There are no 'wrong' answers to the questionnaire.

 
We are reaching out to all community groups, patriot groups and church leadership in the Tampa Bay area to invite them to participate in this exciting plan of action.  As soon as we can confirm the venues, we will begin contacting these groups to encourage them to participate and to spread the word to others.  We are expecting a wide range of participants and are letting the groups know that they will want to have their members views & values represented in the process.  If they stand aside, they are empowering others to make the candidate selection for them.  

It's truly the time to invest our time & efforts in a plan of action that empowers citizens, not establishment parties that have consistently selected candidates through the process of the 'good 'ol boy' network.  GOooh will be running candidates in the primaries that will stand for their constituents, instead of caving to the whims of the 'special interests' that purchase their influence through the promise of funding their next campaign.  Please note that all incumbents are invited to participate in the candidate selection process.  So if the candidate makes it all the way through the process, they will be required to sign a pledge to follow their stated positions during the selection process and that they will only serve two terms in office.  

The mock selection process takes approximately an hour and a half.  It includes such activities as introducing yourself in a one minute speech to your group (the participants are broken into groups of six people that preferably haven't previously met), comparing the voting sheets, a 'vote of first impression' where the participants select their 'favorite' & 'least favorite' participant (it's recorded privately), one-on-one 'interviews' (where the participants interview everyone individually about any topic that they choose), and then a final vote (privately) that rates the participants from #1 to #6.  It's an exciting and educational event that will empower our citizens in knowing that they can choose a candidate for Congress that truly represents them.
