Pinellas Patriots is pleased to announce that we will host a Prayer Service in partnership with our fellow patriots of North Pinellas 9-12.
Fellow Patriots, it is my firm belief that we are in the beginning days of a "Great Awakening" in America. All of us are being asked to choose our path. We are at a "fork in the road." The fork on the left is the pathway in which we continue relying only on our own abilities to face down the enemies of freedom. The fork on the right invites God to share in our burden, but also invites Him to provide courage, strength and wisdom. I believe we are on the cusp of realizing tremendous victories, both in our struggle for freedom and in our personal lives. NOW is the time to: Pray as if everything relies on God and Work as if everything relies on us.
At this time, as in the time of our Founding Fathers, the hour has come for Patriots to seek the favor of God and to thank Him for all of our blessings. We must ask Him for forgiveness, protection, and wisdom. As Benjamin Franklin wisely stated, "God governs in the affairs of men." If we seek victory as a result of our work to restore freedom without asking God for His favor, wisdom and guidance, we will fall short.

Comments from our Prayer Service that was held on August 14, 2010
It was totally awesome seeing strangers coming up to join in worship with us. The Holy Spirit was truly there with us. Thank you, Jesus
If I could, I would have given it 10 stars. What a gathering of Christian souls fighting for thier country and freedom.
Fifteen people (not members) saw what we were doing and came over to join us.
My thanks to those who planned the prayer service. It was wonderful!
The Patriots Prayer service was very spiritual for me and my wife Becky. As we were leaving, beachgoers stopped and asked us what was that all about. We said we were with the Pinellas Patriots in a prayer vigil, appealing to our Creator to restore our nation and its bounty and beauty with His blessings. The beachgoers cheered and said "Great, keep it up." We responded, "We need your prayers to help."
I walked away from this gathering with hope. Quite touching, it was, when passers by stopped and joined with us. Everything was perfect in so many ways. "Perhaps only when human effort has done its best and failed, will God's power alone be free to work" --Unknown ”
What a celebration!!! Friends and strangers coming together to worship God and ask for his guidance and blessing. Many thanks to all those who attended.
This celebration of Faith, Hope and Charity connected us in a way that no protest or march ever could. As a special blessing, during the celebration, God reached out and touched the hearts of several beach visitors who joined us in communal prayer and thanksgiving. It was a tremendous evening. An evening I hope, is repeated again and again.
As a remembrance of the Prayer Service, a special gift will be given to those in attendance.
I'm so sorry I had to miss this -- had to help a friend stranded with car trouble. I'm especially sorry to have missed meeting our fellow patriots in North Pinellas.
Thank you so much for a wonderful time of worship and praise this evening. What a great group of folks attending tonight-warm, friendly, full of praise and patriotism welling from each soul. What a perfect spot to meet and worship our loving God.
@Ann
yes, I saw that as well, and was frozen in awe
