MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY

In Honor of Michael Kraczkowsky (22 March 1920 ? 5 February 2010) For His Patriotic Service During World War II Southern Crafted Homes has announced that they will hold a Military Appreciation Day to pay tribute to all of our veterans and current military service members. The event will be held on Sunday March 28th, 2010 from 12:00 to 4:00 at their Stonegate community in Land O Lakes. The community is located one mile west of Land O Lakes Blvd on Hwy 54 and three miles east of the Suncoast Expressway. The event is open to the public. The day will feature static displays of military equipment such as a Black Hawk helicopter, Humvees, and an armored personnel carrier. Members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard will be present to answer questions from the public and to conduct demonstrations. The Tampa Bay Lightning will also be present with Lightning Bug the Team Mascot, the Lightning Girls and displays from our Stanley Cup winning team. ?As we begin to celebrate our 20th anniversary we reflected on the things that have made us successful and the word community kept coming to mind?, said Jim Deitch, Chief Operating Officer for Southern Crafted Homes, ?so it was natural for us to also think of our men and women in the service who make our sense of community possible. It seemed right to honor them as part of our celebration.? Deitch and the Southern Crafted Homes team will host the public for this special event to honor our troops. Donations for Treats for Troops, an organization that ships care packages to our troops overseas will be collected during the event.
