General Meeting~Guest Speaker~Rebecca O'Dell Townsend Part 1

We are pleased to announce Rebecca O'Dell as our Guest Speaker in the First of Two Constitution in Crisis presentations!

Ms O'Dell explains the Constitution and the role of each branch to help everyday Patriots regain control of their government. Her presentations receive an overwhelmingly positive response as she offers a message of enlightenment and empowerment.

She travels the country extensively and does not charge a speaking fee; however, contributions are welcome to help defray her travel costs. Please, let's show her that her efforts are deeply appreciated! She also sells a variety of books on Constitutional education and they will be available for purchase after the meeting.

After Ms O'Dell answers some of your questions, we will address our Pinellas Patriots monthly business. Please feel free to email any of the organizers to suggest any items that you would like to see on the agenda. We will try to accommodate all requests based on time available.

Please make every effort to attend. This is the reason we are all here and every voice counts!

I recall one message asking for questions for Ms. O'Dell. Here are a couple I'd like answered: What is the Constitution's Commerce Clause and the supposed authority it gives Congress to regulate interstate commerce. How does it apply to the Health Care Bill? What is in the Supremecy Clause that allows federal laws to trump state statutes? Explain how the 10th Amendment to the Constitution limits Congress and its actions.

I have a question for her as well. I have read what the Constitution has to say about the Census. Based on my interpretation of it, I am pretty sure we are only required to answer question #1. But then, I am not a Constitutional Lawyer. I don't know how "race" would play a part in the Census, if we are all created equal...

I can trace my family to Spain ~ 900 hundred years ago! Am I hispanic? If I go further, I could be something else. If I go back fewer years, I am something else again. Who am I?

We thoroughly enjoyed our first meeting of the Pinellas Patriots. Ms. O'Dell was terrific and it was great to learn more about our Constitution as well as to hear from other attendees. Look forward to the next meeting and joining in on some of the activities as well. We've got lots of notes and cards to pass out to other friends.

Rebecca was wonderful, as always. I am really looking forward to her 'Part 2' @ the April meeting! Many thanks to all the new members that were there tonight. We hope you came away with some insight and encouragement. Please do not hesitate to email with any questions. Now let's get busy and help some of those candidates fulfill their petition requirements so they can get their names on those ballots! We are here to help! Schillbilly...you are awesome, my friend! A special "Welcome Home" to you!

Rebecca O'Dell-Townsend was as informative as ever, she is an awesome speaker!!! It was nice to spend time with other patriots from around Pinellas County. I met Lyle from North Pinellas 9-12, he drove all the way from Palm Harbor. I visited with Scott Finlayson, Mike Barnes (from Pasco County) and John Sipos, all members of sister Tea Party groups and 9-12 groups. It's is fabulous that our local groups are beginning to construct a network of communication and project efforts. It was also, nice to meet the Vice Chairman of the Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee, Michael Guju, Esq and his son. I am looking forward to the next General Member meeting and I am extending an invitation to all those who could not join us this time to take advantage of the "FREE" Constitutional education offered by Rebecca O'Dell-Townsend.

Ms. O'Dell is extremely knowledgeable about the Constitution, and I enjoyed her talk. Even though I had heard Ms. O'Dell speak before, I very much enjoyed her again and still learned something new.

This was a truly informative and inspiring meeting!! Ms. O'Dell's presentation was on target, and encompassed numerous areas of concern for all of us faced with an ever-enlarging and intrusive Federal Government, with it's now self acknowledged intent to move the "Socialist" agenda forward. Her practical advice for each of us, and the role we must each take to turn this perilous movement around, was invaluable. I look forward to our next meeting with her, and more lessons to be learned!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first meeting and have posted our comments on previous Meetup e-mail. We would like the Organizers and Asst Organizers to introduce themselves to attendees to we "newbies" at the next meeting. We sat with Tom C and did get to meet Kathy and Eileen. Rebecca is a great speaker. She explained our Constitution in a way that really made sense in relation to what is happening today. Also, it was nice to see many new faces. Would be great if we actually need a bigger room next time!!

There is no doubt about it that MRS. O'Dell was BRILLIANT in all areas regarding the Constitution! The way she executed answeres from the audience was a sign that this woman just doesn't have a degree from ECker College & Stetson Universiy School of Law, but that her insightful knowledge about things is general are the thigs that makes this women considerably right on POINT!!! The expressions of her faith makes her PONDEROUS! ALL THUMBS UP!!! Very IMPRESSIVE!
