We are pleased to announce Tom Cuba, State Representative District 53 Candidate, as our featured Guest Speaker. Tom Cuba is a active member of our own Pinellas Patriots. Please visit his website to familiarize yourself with Tom and come with any questions you may have.
After Tom answers some of our questions, we will address other important issues in preparation for the Florida Primary Elections.
Additional House Candidates have been invited and we will update this information as it becomes available.
We have a civic duty to know the candidates that are on the ballot. Please don't miss this very important meeting!
If you plan on dining before the meeting, please arrive no later than 6:00 PM. If you will not be dining, please arrive no later than 7:00 PM. This will eliminate any distractions during the meeting. Our Guest Speaker will be introduced promptly at 7:00 PM.
In order for us to continue to use this great facility, at every General Member Meeting, we must order $150.00 worth of drinks and food from the cafe and full service bar. Members who attend the meeting are encouraged to come early, order a cocktail (or other drink) and food. When you place your order, please remind the server to write "PP" on the receipt, this will indicate that a Pinellas Patriot placed the order and that order will be applied to our $150.00 food and drink minimum. Please come early (6:00) and place your orders!!!
Please make every effort to attend. This is the reason we are all here and we can all agree that knowledge is power!
Attention New Members! We have a welcome package for those that attend!
In order to help offset the costs of events, Pocket Constitutions, printing, room rentals, etc., Pinellas Patriots will be accepting a $2.00 donation at the door. THIS IS NOT MANDATORY, but very much appreciated. See you there
My real problem with Mr. McAllister's speech was that he spent over 70% of the time on national issues not related to the state. I had the uneasy feeling that he was riding the coat-tails of the Tea Party and he has not reached out beyond this organization (and can't win if you don't).
I agree with you. I think it is a ploy to take votes away from other candidates.
Not sure it was any kind of ploy, just taking advantage of the Tea Party grass roots without developing a full strategy to win.
Great Meeting! Meeting with some of major canidates for the coming elections was really worthwhile. All were informative. We really liked for what Gubernatorial candidate Michael McAlister had to say. Frankly we did not feel comfortable with either of the other candidates. He was asked would it not be throwing the vote away since he had a late starter. He said "You heard the other candidates if you like what say vote for them. If you liked what I said vote for me. Vote your conscious." OK!
