As we schedule our second General Meeting for 2010, we are still facing possible Government takeover of our Health Care System. Every day, every week, every month that passes with this issue still looming over us, we can be VERY thankful! For if it wasn't for us, Patriots across this great country, this pending Legislation would already be law!
We are pleased to announce that Dr. David McKalip has offered to speak to us on the Health Care Issue facing this country and answer some of our questions afterwords!
Dr. McKalip is a private practice brain and spine surgeon in St. Petersburg, Florida. He served as the Chairman of the Council on Medical Economics for the FMA and lead the effort to write a health system reform plan for the FMA that focuses on individual financial empowerment of patients. Dr. McKalip founded Doctors for Patient Freedom and is working to ensure that individual savings, choice and competition create better and more affordable medical care for Americans. Dr. McKalip has written and spoken on the unintended consequences of expanded government and corporate control of health care financing and medical decision making including rationing, cookbook medicine, unsustainable economic models for government and unaffordable or unavailable private insurance products and financing options for patients. Don't miss this opportunity to hear Dr. McKalip speak!
There is still much to do as elections grow ever closer! After Dr. McKalip answers some of your questions, we will address our Pinellas Patriots business. Please feel free to email any of the organizers to suggest any items that you would like to see on the agenda. We will try to accommodate all requests based on time available.
If you plan on dining before the meeting, please arrive no later than 6:30 PM. If you will not be dining, please arrive no later than 7:00 PM. This will eliminate any distractions during the meeting. Our Guest Speaker will be introduced promptly at 7:00 PM. By starting promptly at 7:00 PM we should conclude no later than 8:45 PM.
Please make every effort to attend. This is the reason we are all here and every voice counts!
Attention New Members! We have a welcome package for those that attend!
In order to help offset the costs of events, Pocket Constitutions, printing, room rentals, etc., Pinellas Patriots will be accepting a $2.00 donation at the door. THIS IS NOT MANDATORY.
Great meeting: But I want everyone to memorize the answer to the question I had. It was - Yes, the insurance company pays a different price than an individual does. The reason is that the Insurance Company has a negotiated contract. This needs to change.
