Quaker Steak & Lube Restaurant (map)
Folks, Florida is the Eye of the Storm. We need you for this event… your country needs to step forward and be a Refounder.
The Original Healthcare Funeral Procession takes on a New & Exciting Twist this Saturday!! Our Friends from North Pinellas 9.12 have invited us to join them for their Rally in Palm Harbor! It just so happens that the 60 Minutes film crew will be in Pinellas County on Saturday and they will be interviewing Joe Sekula, the organizer of the North Pinellas 9.12 Project! He has invited us to show our support for the North Pinellas group by adding our numbers to his event!
This Saturday we are meeting at Quaker Steak & Lube to caravan up to the Rally. We have to roll of of the parking lot at 10:00 to be up there by the time the film crew arrives. Please make up your signs Friday and have them ready to go. We will be traveling up McMullen Booth Rd to our destination. We will circle the Rally site with our caravan.
What Joe has asked of us:
Signs: Stay focused on the issues, avoid getting too personal. (Mike, I love you brother but bringing out Nancy in her bikini will hurt us. Do you have something less… polarizing)? Think about the national debt… 12.3 Billion Dollars. Deficit spending, 1.42 Billion last year (2009), around 1.6 for 2010… Think about CSPAN and the President promising transparency. Think about “I could not vote for Scott Brown, but I could give money”; think about scrapping Healthcare when Obama promised you could pick your doctor and now says that may not be the case. Stay with what you know is fact!!!
If 60 Minutes decides to interview anyone, do not rush what you have to say. Stick to core beliefs… Stop Spending, Stop Corruption, Ethics, Lack of Transparency, Deals behind closed doors like Healthcare, Giving Terrorist the same rights as a citizen, If I cannot spend my way out of debt, why can the government? Keep your responses simple, avoid going into areas that you are unsure of. Above all, remember things like the Constitution… carry a couple if you have them… a good way to back out of a corner is saying, “Is it Constitutional”?
It is my intent to bring a video camera to this event. If 60 Minutes does show up, we’ll videotape their actions and if they interview anyone. If they do miss quote somebody in a story, we’ll have the “rest of the story”, the truth.
I had thought about this for some time… what could the press be up too? Will they be fair? As you have seen or read in the paper or Internet, they will say as they please regardless of whether they speak to someone. We cannot hide from them… but we can hold them to a higher standard. I cannot help but think money is the motivation behind the liberal media becoming interested in the Tea Party Movement in Florida. Facts do not lie; their ratings are in the tank! If ratings are in the tank, advertisers are not as willing to pay for a network that nobody is watching. Fox has gone through the roof. And then toss in Scott Brown… wow, his name has become a verb, “Scott Browned”. Times may be changing for the better but we are facing a force that has become increasingly desperate and cannot be trusted. So you know, they have been contacting other groups in Florida and it is happening from even international media sources.
See you all at Quaker Steak! Let's show them what we're made of!!!
Many thanks to Joe with the North Pinellas 9.12 for the opportunity to show our support!
I just wanted to tell you all that your a great bunch of people. It was a blast when you drove through. Your efforts are making a difference and when we can work together, great things happen. I salute you! God Bless, Joe
A wonderful opportunity to be able to all come together for our mutual cause- --Freedom . United we stand!
That was the best Caravan so far, well other then the high winds and chill in the air. But the peoples patriotic spirit was awesome! It was great to see our fellow patriots in the N Pinellas 912 group. I look forward to joining forces again!
Joe S posted a note on the NPinellas site stating that the police did not shut them down. They did apparently get a complaint or two but the police were there just to let Joe know. As a matter of fact, one of the officers said that there should be one of these every weekend on every corner - and then, later on, he joined their group. Way to go Joe.
What an opportunity to show the country what we're made of right here in Pinellas County. Come on everyone - let's have the largest Caravan ever! Make some signs, write on your cars and put up those flags. We usually end up on YouTube but now we have a chance at
60 Minutes. What a wonderful invitation from North Pinellas 9.12
