National Protest - Operation can you hear us now - A tea party for the Media

The Plan: March on The Media Locally!

Obviously, the "main stream" media is hard of hearing and doesn't see well either. The largest gathering of Patriots ever assembled in Washington, D.C. was not large enough to make it onto their radar screens or our TV screens.

The media needs our help and "Operation Can You Hear Us Now" is what we have to offer. For every Patriot who went to D.C. there are 10-20 more who wish they could have participated. This is a great opportunity for all of us to act together and display solidarity with other Patriots across the country who will be holding the same event!

We were the first event to be added to their site in the Tampa area.

***IMPORTANT!!

We want everyone to know that We the People, the Pinellas Patriots, is a grassroots organization that holds our values and principles close to our hearts. As we stand alongside other groups to spread our message across this country, we always put forth a positive image. We know this will grow our movement and be a positive impact on those who see us. We must remember that the pictures taken of our signs are not always reported in a positive way. As always, the words we post on our signs will be truthful and to the point. Short is always better. We must never give the slanted media something to use against us. We are protesting the television news & print media.. Some suggestions:

  • The truth really doesn't hurt!
  • Please, state the Truth
  • Stop Manipulating the news
  • Is Journalism Truly Gone Forever?
  • Just Report the Facts - We'll Figure it Out
  • I can't remember the last time I saw both sides on MSNBC
  • You know we're here - Just admit it!
  • The truth, the whole truth, and nothing BUT the TRUTH!
  • You know what they say about opinions - Everybody's got one!
  • The truth hurts? Never
  • Investigative reporting - Gone forever?
  • Etc.....

What a day! We were proud to roll with patriots from Freedom Riders, also some from Sons of Liberty, and two patriots with Grassroots Freedom Ride from North Carolina! Some from Miami, Tampa & some are here locally. These were the most awesome people and we were deeply honored to share the road with them! We can't say "Thank YOU," enough! We rolled to the Times in St Pete. Congestion and short lights made it difficult to stick together. After arriving at the Times it wasn't long before we were ALL seperated. One way streets etc. But going east, looking down side streets and seeing others of our caravan going the other way two streets down was almost comical! As Katie said, we truly ARE a grassroots group or we would have been a little more organized. MANY people lining the sidewalks in front of the Times! I'd say close to 200! We left downtown and paid the Times on US19 a visit, too! Workers outside on break & more came out before we were finished there. Honk for Liberty!

We had a great turnout in front of the Times. Lots of people from all over the area, N Pinellas, South Pinellas, Pinellas-Patriots, Tampa 912 group, and others who heard about it and care about our country.
