Who organized?
We The People

Pinellas Patriots, as a grassroots organization, will not be endorsing any candidate. Our goal is to simply provide our members with comprehensive information on those that seek office at the local, state and federal level. Education is the key to electing candidates that stand for what we, individually, believe.

Pinellas Patriots Candidate Reaserch Team is looking for...
Ordinary citizens who are tired of …
…Witnessing our Constitution being torn to shreds
…Politicians who talk one way and act another
…Watching our freedoms and future disappear
…Politicians not having or adhering to our values

As citizens, we are organizing to defend our liberties through the power of the vote.

The Candidate Research team of Pinellas Patriots has the opportunity to assist on a National Voter Education & Empowerment project. The goals of this project work well with the goals of our Candidate Research team and we have the determination and resources to make a difference in who is elected.

A basic overview of the project - We will be assisting with the design of a survey that will be specific to Florida and Pinellas County. Then we will be contacting all candidates that are qualified to run for an office and requesting that they complete the survey questions. After the candidates respond, the completed surveys will be researched for accuracy (with the voting records of incumbents and/or the candidate's public statements). Then the information will be compiled and produced into voter guides. Teams of volunteers will distribute the voter guides in the neighborhoods of Pinellas County and we will also cover the busiest polling places on Election Day. The voter guides and the candidates answers to the survey will also be posted on a website that will be accessible for everyone.

There will be opportunities to volunteer on many different levels.
Do you enjoy collaborating with other like-minded patriots about the questions for which the candidates should be accountable? Are you interested in contacting candidates about the survey? Do you enjoy research or data entry? Do you enjoy getting out of the house and walking a precinct? There is much more that needs to be done....

Even if you only have 15 minutes a day or if you are unable to travel, please understand that every hour counts and there is plenty that can be done from the comfort of your home. There is just over 230 days until the November 2010 elections. With only 15 minutes a day, it adds up to just over 862 hours - per patriot. Imagine the possibilities and the impact that could have on the future of our country.

Pinellas Patriots is working with the Abagail Adams Project to research and compile information on the 2010 candidates across Florida, primarily focusing on our local districts. They can help Pinellas Patriots and we can help them. There are several local grassroots groups that will be using the Abigail Adams Project. The AAP is a nationwide, non-partisan, time-tested project that has worked all across the country. It also incorporates the Precinct Strategy.

Please bring the top ten questions that you would like to see on a candidate questionnaire. Several members that attended the first Vetting Committee meeting have already decided which candidates they would like to research and also have had time to compile their questions. The shift in our approach is to keep this as simple as possible. The Abigail Adams Project is the simplest, easiest most comprehensive method.

Directions:

"It’s easy to get to and the building sits behind the Quaker Steak and Lube. Not sure where you’d be coming from so --- from North County, take U.S. Hwy 19 South, exit at Bryan Dairy Road, turn left under the U.S. 19 overpass, then turn right onto 49th Street. Turn right at the second light (Lake Blvd.) just past Quaker Steak & Lube. Make a slight left at the STOP sign, then an immediate right. Our building will be in front of you (Datek Business Center), drive around to the right as entrance is on the North side. From County South, go North on 49th Street, turning Left at the light at 49th and Lake Blvd."

    •  Quite possibly the weather kept everyone indoors. Please watch the CANDIDATE RESEARCH TEAM folder. Karena will be posting information on how we ALL can get involved in this very important process. Only 15 minutes a day will have a huge impact. Thank you Karena for ALL the work you have already done!
    •  A very important project in light of the progressive movement dominating in Washington. It gives me hope than even if we lose on an issue we can work towards enlightening the "people" to the best of our ability regarding candidates who have American values and will make decisions according to the Constitution.
